Cancellation Policy
The decision to cancel The Event will be made by RLC Inc. In such circumstances RLC Inc. will endeavour to provide a comparable event on an alternative date. If an alternative date cannot be established, The Event will be cancelled.
Cancellation of The Event may occur due to the following:
1. If the Bureau of Meteorology forecasts the temperature to be in excess of 36 degrees Celsius, and those temperatures are expected to be reached through the duration of the event, then RLC Inc. will consider other weather conditions and determine if The Event is to be cancelled or postponed
2. An assessment of the bushfire warnings in accordance with the Country Fire Service website with regard to the fire danger ratings
3. Any other extreme weather conditions (eg, severe storm, hail, extreme winds etc) that may impact on rider safety
If The Event is cancelled advice will be given by RLC Inc. no later than 1800hrs (6.00pm) the day prior by:
- SMS message and / or email to all participants and stakeholders
- issue an official press release announcing the cancellation of The Event
- upload advice on the RLC website
4. If for any reason the route, or part of, is unsafe for riders.
